This Australasian professional association will support practices and practitioners across Australia and New Zealand. The organisation will provide standards of best practice, new knowledge, advocacy services, training and accreditation frameworks and business support to equine-assisted practitioners.
Drawing on recent research with our colleagues across the region, the organisation will focus on the following key areas:

  • Developing and ensuring standards of professional practice
  • Safeguarding the welfare and wellbeing of clients, horses and industry practitioners
  • Supporting equity and diversity in practice
  • Educating and advocating across community, government and other stakeholders
  • Promoting research into EAP and EAL
  • Promoting EAP as an effective and valid clinical modality
  • Promoting EAL as an effective and valid educational / experiential learning modality
  • Supporting Members with a platform for networking events, professional development and business growth
